ECOGRAM IS HERE!
For those of you who remember Ecogram from last year, I'm sure you're excited to go back for some more this year. For those of you who don't know, Ecogram is a series of lectures done in the fall at GSAPP around a central ecological theme. This year's theme is Africa. The series is put together by two really awesome people: Ioanna Theocharopoulou and Mitchel Joachim.
Last year we participated by attending each lecture, and having a different person blog each time. It would be great if we could do it again this year too. I'll be going on Thursday and blogging that night, but if you are interested in covering one of these events and having your review / comments / summary, etc. posted on the Green Builder's website, shoot me an email! Here is the schedule of Ecogram events:

Hi everyone! Welcome to Columbia, or welcome back. Last year was a great year for the Green Builders at Columbia club. We accomplished way more than we thought we would and our group is starting to have a positive effect on the university. Last year we made the local news with our awesome Parking Day installation, we ran the first ever student/faculty roundtable at Ecogram II, we had a fashion show, a massive fundraising ball, some great lectures, AND we had fun! I expect that this year will be even better. We'll learn from the past and do it classier than ever. We have lost a few outstanding members to graduation, but I'm already very excited about the new flood of talented people that will get involved this year. But it doesn't matter if you're new or old to the club, don't forget that GB@C is meant to be a flexible network. That means that we can take on new or different projects this year. All it takes is your initiative! If you have an idea, don't sit on it - share it with the club and together we may be able to make it happen. Also, no one here is obligated to do dirty work. Get involved in the projects you like and don't worry about the rest. Our mission is to keep up an engaging conversation about issues relating to sustainability and the built environment and to keep it fun in the process. To start this year off right, join us this week as we prepare for Park(ing) Day and kick off our year:
